Educational Psychology & Special Needs
Children with disabilities are among the most vulnerable members of our society. Together with their families they face challenges daily. Stigma and discrimination around disability is a reality in our society. It is in this respect that the department of special needs education in Machakos university envisages to train teachers who will ensure that children with disability are given the education they rightfully deserve. This is attained through producing highly qualified special educators who will not only teach but also engage in research and create awareness on the rights and needs of learners with disability.
